C55 Series Aerospace-Grade Crosslinked Ethylene-Tetrafluoroethylene Copolymer (XETFE) Dual-Layer Insulated Wire
Overview
C55 series of wire and cable for aerospace is a new type of product designed and developed by implementing GJB773A-2000 General Specification for Aerospace Wires and Cables Containing Fluoropolymer, QW743A-2008 General Specification for Low Frequency Wires and Cables for Spacecraft and referring to American Standard AS22759 to meet the requirements of modern military equipment and modern science and technology in terms of high-technology, high-volume and high-performance and promote the localization of wire and cable for aerospace and replace imports, breaking the monopoly of foreign companies over China’s aerospace wire and cable for a long time. Promote the localization of wire and cable for astronautics, replace imports, and break the monopoly of foreign companies on wire and cable for astronautics in China for a long time.
C55 series of aerospace wire and cable is in my company to implement the national military standard XTA series of high-performance transmission line products developed on the basis of research and development, in addition to having a small outer diameter, light weight, excellent electrical properties, mechanical properties, temperature impact resistance, but also has a resistance to outer space radiation, resistance to vacuum atomic oxygen irradiation, resistance to the limit of the low temperature of-100 ℃ and other astronautical space environment performance, its performance and the U.S. Ruikan 55 / series of wire and cable level is comparable. Its performance is comparable to the level of American Rikan 55/series wire and cable.

Main Performance
C55 series of single-layer insulated wires and cables for aerospace use are insulated and sheathed with irradiated crosslinked ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (XETFE), and through a certain dose of high-energy electron irradiation to make it produce crosslinked and made products. Its special structure makes the product: small outer diameter, light weight, flame retardant, aging resistance, high mechanical strength, resistance to chemical erosion, resistance to outer space radiation, resistance to vacuum atomic oxygen irradiation and ease of use, etc. These excellent properties meet the space and weight requirements of space and airborne equipment, and provide safe and reliable mechanical and chemical properties.
●Small outer diameter and light weight: the conductor adopts concentric rippling and stranding with small outer diameter, and the thickness of insulation and sheath is designed to be very thin, with the thinnest point of single-layer insulation reaching 0.13mm, and the weight conforms to the detailed specification of Raychcm.
●Flame resistant: wire and cable has a very good flame retardant, wire and cable combustion test test conditions for the fire time of 30s, open flame flame flame retardant time is not more than 3s, flame retardant length of not more than 76mm.
●High temperature resistance: wire and cable insulation and sheath layer by irradiation crosslinking increases the polymer material high temperature characteristics, temperature resistance of 200 ℃, and can be sustained through the 300 ℃ x 7h accelerated aging test, this temperature is much higher than the melting temperature of the ETFE (270 ℃), these characteristics of the life of the conductor has a very good thermal stability.
●Low-temperature resistance: wire and cable low-temperature resistance is excellent, the test temperature is (-100 ± 2)℃, 4h, after the test will never crack, immersion voltage test does not breakdown.
●High tensile strength: wire and cable insulation tensile strength should not be less than 34.5MPa, higher than the general strength of fluorine plastic.
●Excellent resistance to outer space radiation performance: the product anti-radiation performance is excellent, by the dose of 5x10rad (si) irradiation test, try to withstand the AC voltage does not break down.
●Vacuum fugitive test: Total mass loss (TML) ≤1%, CVCM 0,1%.
●Vacuum fugitive gas test: the total mass loss (TML) of the insulating material ≤ 1%, polymerizable volatile matter (CVCM) 0,1%. Vacuum atomic gas irradiation: wire and cable in the energy of 5eV atomic oxygen irradiation (bombardment), the average corrosion rate Ey should not be greater than 5 x 10-29m3/AO.
●Non-metallic materials harmful gas escape test: normal atmospheric conditions, 101.325kPa, 50 ℃, 72h, wire and cable non-metallic materials discharged irritating and special odor gases odor level is not greater than 1.5; off carbon monoxide is not greater than 25ug/g; off total organic matter is not greater than 100ug/g.
