In 2020, the sudden COVID-19 epidemic greatly affected our work and life. People wore masks, restricted travel, and closed shopping malls, bringing society to a standstill. Everything seemed to be cast into a shadow. However, we also saw more warmth and love gathering into the power of fighting the epidemic, which was both touching and shocking.
Free blood donation, also known as “love on the arm,” played a significant role during the extraordinary period of “fighting the new coronavirus pneumonia” in 2020. Blood donations brought hope to patients and conveyed strength to the warriors in white. On the morning of June 24, Gaogou Town held a blood donation event at the convenience center next to the town government.
The party branch and labor union of Anhui Huayu Cable Group Co., Ltd. quickly responded to the government’s call, organizing and encouraging nearly 30 employees to participate in the blood donation event. On June 24, at 8 a.m., blood donation volunteers gathered at the site, organized by the company’s party branch and labor union. Despite the crowd, everyone filled out forms and underwent physical examinations and blood tests in an orderly manner. After several inspections, more than ten employees met the blood donation standards. Some first-time donors were nervous, but experienced employees reassured them with jokes and information about blood donation. Everyone donated cheerfully, hoping their efforts would help save lives and create miracles.
Through this blood donation activity, employees from all company departments expressed their support for the charitable cause. Their actions demonstrated sincere emotions and selfless dedication to giving back and caring for society. Fighting the epidemic with passion and unity, this blood donation event highlighted the selfless commitment, friendship, and mutual assistance of the Huayu people and Huayu’s electrical cables and wires. It also reflected Huayu Group’s strong sense of social responsibility, showcasing their courage and dedication to society through practical actions.
